Companion Ambassador
Candace Stowers
Candace Stowers is a wife, mother, grandmother and singer-songwriter, who has been a vegetarian and advocate for an active, healthy lifestyle for the past 25 years. She was diagnosed with very early stage and slow-growing endometrial cancer during menopause, and had a radical hysterectomy via laparoscopic robotic surgery. She was undiagnosed for nine months, but knew something was wrong with her body. She pushed for tests and imaging to be performed so that she could finally have some peace of mind and no longer live with the unknown. She now spreads the word about early detection and not ignoring symptoms. "Only you are familiar with your body. When something is wrong, don't be afraid to speak to a doctor and tell them exactly what's going on with you. Don't let anyone minimize your symptoms." She can be reached at candilo2010@gmail.com.
